Planned strike at the Port of Felixstowe

There has been confirmation that the strike action will commence on Sunday 21st August through to Monday 29th August. The initial strike is set for 8 days, but additional strike action is expected with no fresh talks scheduled.
Vessels and trucks will not be allowed to enter the port during this period which will cause delays and disruption to supply chains.

The shipping lines are continuing to assess options and are putting contingency plans in place to minimise any delays during and after this period. Vessel diversions and alternative UK and European ports are being arranged for use during the strike period.

The team has implemented processes for continuously reviewing all impacted vessels, and any clients affected by this strike action will be contacted directly to ensure they are kept fully informed.
